Worth the Wait

Oftentimes waiting is the hardest thing to do but we must be reminded that certain things are worth waiting for. Be inspired and motivated by this song from 33 Miles:

Worth the Wait

by 33Miles
I can see your heart is yearning
Everything is so unclear
Is the answer ever coming
After all these years?

It's not an easy feeling
Sometimes it seems unfair
But He knows just what He's doing
With unanswered prayers
So hold on

It's worth the wait
Just keep believing
God has perfect timing
Never early, never late

It takes a little patience
And it takes a lot of faith
But it's worth the wait

What if what you're desperate for
Isn't what you really need?
What if there was something more
Than what you dreamed?

We may not always see
We may not understand
But He knows just what He's doing
He's got a bigger plan
So hold on

In His time, you'll be fine
All this waiting now, is by design

Perfect Timing

What if there is something that you've been waiting for all your life, a lifelong dream, but it does not happen when you expected it to?

What if you thought you gave your best but the results went against you?

What if there's a delay in the completion of your plans?

Sometimes we want something to happen but then, it doesn't. What do you do?
You should NOT give up. You CAN and you will succeed at the right time.

There are things that we won't be able to accomplish at the first try, but it doesn't mean that it's the end of everything. Thomas Edison did not stop trying until his invention worked. Michael Jordan was not the best player in high school but it did not deter him, he went on to practice his game and became the best in the NBA. John Grisham's novel got rejected but he did not give up and his books sold millions of copies. The drawings of Charles Schultz, creator of Peanuts, were rejected in a high school yearbook, but he went on to become an award winning cartoonist.

These people are only a few illustrations that tell us that life doesn't stop when one door closes. So, as the saying goes, take a deep breath, let go and let God.

You can succeed, trust the Father's plan. His timing is perfect.

"For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." -Habakkuk 2:3

Be Motivated. Be Selfless.

It's easy to get lost within the realm of our ambition. With our goals right before our very eyes, we might be tempted to forget about everything else. BUT we must be reminded that we are not alone, that the end more often than not, does not justify the means. :)

A friendly reminder:

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. - Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)

The New Living Translation says:
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Learn when to put the "I", "me", "my", "mine" aside. The moment you see people's genuine smile when you help them or when you're able to make them happy even for very simple reasons, that moment in itself is more than enough motivation to keep you going. :)

The Greatest Source of Motivation

What drives you to succeed?
What makes you do more than what you're expected to?
What causes you to give it your best shot?
What fuels your passion?

There are times when you feel like bursting with energy, inspired to do things and be the best person you can be BUT there are times when things feel a little too slow, you fall into the temptation of being dormant and unproductive. There goes the challenge of staying motivated. If only motivation comes in tin cans, like energy drinks that you can buy 24/7 from the nearest convenience store, it would be a lot easier. Since that option is already out, what can you do?

*Start getting motivated by getting in tune to one frequency that you should not live without.
*Develop a deeper relationship with one individual you should be the closest to.
*Communicate daily (several times a day) with one being who never gets tired of listening to you.
*Get tips from the greatest source of motivation.

In short, welcome God into your life, into your heart. You'll see the big difference. As what + Dr. Norman Vincent Peale wrote in "The Power of Positive Thinking", "As you walk down the street tonight I suggest that you repeat certain words which I shall give you. Say them over several times after you get into bed. When you awaken tomorrow, repeat them three times before arising. On the way to your important appointment say them three additional times. Do this with an attitude of faith and you will receive sufficient strength and ability to deal with this problem... Following is the affirmation which I gave him "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

The affirmation came from the Bible, Philippians 4:13. But simply saying the words without thought and belief will not amount to anything, so begin getting to know God and believe. Faith can move mountains. :)
