It's easy to get lost within the realm of
our ambition. With our goals right before our very eyes, we might be tempted to
forget about everything else. BUT we must be reminded that we are not alone,
that the end more often than not, does not justify the means. :)
A friendly reminder:
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. - Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)
The New Living Translation says:
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble,
thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your
own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Learn when to put the "I", "me", "my", "mine" aside. The moment you see people's genuine smile when you help them or when you're able to make them happy even for very simple reasons, that moment in itself is more than enough motivation to keep you going. :)
